Koraput: Female OAS Officer Archana Das visited the cluster Temporary Medical Centre (TMC) to inspect the COVID-19 facility at Baipariguda in Koraput district, near Chhattisgarh border, on Saturday.
Donning a PPE kit, she spoke to COVID-affected patients, which included pregnant women, and tried to boost their morale.
She enquired about the facilities being provided to them, like food and medicines.
She also met COVID-positive pregnant women who are staying in home isolation and jawans isolated in camps, to check about their health condition.
Archana, who is the Baipariguda Block Nodal Officer, was accompanied by Baipariguda BDO Abhimanyu Kabi Satpathy, DR Pratap Chandra Tripathy and other officials.
The Koraput Collector has delegated 18 district-level officers to oversee the COVID situation in 14 blocks and four cities.
Infections in Koraput district have been rising, with 196 testing positive in the last 24 hours.
