Femina Miss India 2026: Participants Arrive At Bhubaneswar’s KIIT; Check Out Their Weeklong Activities

Bhubaneswar: The most beautiful ladies from across the country will be vying for the 61st Femina Miss India competition to be held at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) here on April 18.

The 30 state winners who have qualified for the beauty pageant arrived at the KIIT campus on Sunday to a rousing reception.

Dr Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT and KISS, welcomed the contestants and congratulated them.

njit Singh were present at the felicitation function.

This is the first time that the prestigious event is being organised in a university in eastern India.

The event, being organised with the support of Odisha’s Tourism Department, will promote the art, culture, and heritage of Odisha.

Before the grand finale on Saturday, the contestants will spend a week at KIIT and KISS, visiting the campuses and interacting with students.

They will visit Puri, Konark Sun Temple and Chandrabhaga Beach.

The contestants will also take part in a heritage walk at Puri beach and Chandrabhaga beach, and participate in another heritage walk at the Mukteswar Temple.

On the occasion of Pana Sankranti and Odia New Year on April 14, the contestants will observe traditional Odia customs on that day. They will enjoy Odia cuisine and celebrate a special ‘Chhena Poda Festival’ by tasting Odisha’s famous delicacy.
