Bhubaneswar: In a major achievement of the state government’s the fight against COVID-19, more than two crore people have been fully vaccinated against the disease till date.
This was revealed in a tweet by chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday. “Odisha has achieved yet another significant milestone in the fight against COVID-19 as more than 2 crore people have received the second dose of vaccine,” he said in the tweet.
The chief minister also appreciated the hard work of he healthcare workers in ensuring swift immunisation to save precious lives from the pandemic.
More than 4.92 crore vaccine doses have been administered to the people in the state. Of them, 2.01 crore have been administered two doses, while 2.9 crore have availed one dose, according to official sources.
Of the vaccinated people, 2.83 crore belong to the age group of 18-44 years, 1.27 crore to 45-60 age and 80.87 lakh are above 60 years, the sources added.
