Bhubaneswar: Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan on Friday voiced strong objections to the filming of social media reels inside Lok Seva Bhawan, the state’s primary administrative hub, emphasising that the building is dedicated solely to governance and official duties.
The minister clarified that there is a
bsolutely no room for such activities within the premises, regardless of whether they are carried out by government employees or visitors. “It is a centre for administrative regulation, and filming reels in Lok Seva Bhawan is inappropriate,” he told reporters.
Harichandan stressed that the matter involves the dignity, discipline, and security of a prestigious government institution that accommodates several departments and deals with highly sensitive administrative functions.
He further stated that the Home Department may caution the security personnel and come up with guidelines to curb such incidents. The security agencies will look into it, he said, adding that police will take action accordingly.
