Bhubaneswar: The authorities of Rama Devi Women’s University on Monday postponed the final semester examinations of the Plus III streams by 15 days following protest by students.
The University had earlier announced June 25 as the date of commencement of exams.
The decision came hours after students of Rama Devi Women’s University and Utkal University staged protests to demand postponement of semester exams amidst the raging coronavirus pandemic.
Protesters had stood in front of the gates of their universities holding placards and shouting slogans to press for their demand.
They feared that there was a risk of spread of infection if the exams were conducted later this month.
