Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police here on Tuesday arrested a senior official of a private finance company for allegedly raping a woman.
The woman from Chhattisgarh was in the city for a job interview.
In her complaint with the Laxmisagar police, she mentioned about applying for a job in the Satya Microtek Ltd, a Bhubaneswar-based private finance company. She was then called for an interview at a hotel, where the manager of the company Jaya Kumar allegedly raped her.
Acting on the complaint, police arrested Jaya Kumar.
After the interrogation, the accused will be sent for medical examination along with the complainant, police said.
