Finance Firm Employee Looted At Gunpoint On Bhubaneswar Outskirts

Bhubaneswar: Two unidentified persons looted Rs 12,700 at gunpoint from an employee of a private finance company on the outskirts of the city on Thursday.

According to police sources, the finance firm employee, Bijay Kumar Behera, had collected the money from women self-help groups and was on his way to deposit it in a bank.

When Behera reached Fakirpada, two persons came on a bike and stopped him by pointing a pistol at him. They snatched his bag containing the cash and damaged his motorcycle.

On being informed, Balipatna police reached the place and started a probe into the matter.
