Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has lauded BJD MLA Raghunath Gomango for displaying true leadership qualities and trudging through dense forests to reach out to villagers in his constituency,
The MLA from Gunupur trekked 4 kms to reach Kondabaridi village under Ramanguda block last week to listen to the grievance of the people there.
His efforts did not go unnoticed. On Monday morning, the Chief Minister’s Office posted a tweet saying, “The CM has appreciated the effort of the first time legislator. He said that working hard for the welfare of the people with humility takes governance closer to the people and fulfilling their aspirations.”
Earlier, addressing the newly elected legislators, Naveen had advised them to remain connected to the grassroots and, rising above political considerations, treat everyone as equals
Gomango is reported to be the first legislator to visit the village. Evidently, the villagers were overwhelmed with his gesture.
Media reports said the MLA assured them to construct an approach road to the village.
