New Delhi: A question asked by Amitabh Bachchan on his game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 12’ has not gone down well with some people on the internet. An FIR has been registered against Big B and the show makers for “hurting Hindu sentiments” in Lucknow for a question during Friday’s ‘Karamveer’ episode, ZeeNews reported.
Social activist Bezwada Wilson and actor Anup Soni were on the hot to answer the question worth Rs 6,40,000.
What was the question?
On 25 December 1927, Dr BR Ambedkar and his followers burned copies of which scripture?
Options: (A) Vishnu Purana (B) Bhagavad Gita, (C) Rigdev (D) Manusmriti
What is the correct answer?
Manusmriti. After announcing it, Amitabh Bachchan said in Hindi that in 1927, Dr BR Ambedkar condemned the ancient Hindu text Manusmriti and also burned copies of it.
Well, neither the question nor the explanation seem to have been liked by a section of the internet.
Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri shared a clip from the episode and wrote, “KBC has been hijacked by Commies. Innocent kids, learn this is how culture wars are won. It’s called coding.”
Some Twitter users have also said that they will “boycott KBC 12”, ZeeNews reported.
