Patna: An FIR was filed against deceased groom Anil Kumar’s father Ambika Chaudhary by the Patna district administration over violation of COVID-19 induced lockdown regulations. More than 100 guests who attended the reception were infected with coronavirus. The groom died two days after the marriage of COVID-19.
Massive violation of the protocols took place as the guests too flouted norms by not wearing masks and not following social distancing guidelines. As many as 113 guests were found coronavirus positive making this wedding the biggest spreader of COVID-19 in Bihar.
On June 15, the wedding happened in rural Patna’s Deehpali village. Barely a couple of days later groom Anil Kumar’s condition worsened and died en route to hospital. The family performed the last rites of Anil before the Patna administration even got to know of it.
