Noida: An FIR has been filed against Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel for violating COVID-related norms while campaigning for the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections on Sunday, ANI reported quoting Gautam Budh Nagar Police.
A day after Election Commission of India (ECI) imposed a ban on all forms of political rallies and roadshows in the five poll-bound states considering the COVID-19 surge in the country, Congress leader Baghel launched his door-to-door campaign in Noida.
Baghel, who is Congress’ senior observer for the UP elections, distributed ‘Ladki Hoon Lad Sakti Hoon’ wrist bands. The party’s national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi launched the ‘Ladki Hoon Lad Sakti Hoon’ campaign last year to woo female voters.
