Sambalpur: Inspector-in-charge (IIC) of Dhanupali police station (PS) in Odisha’s Sambalpur district Ranjan Biswal on Monday filed an FIR against the former PS in-charge, alleging that the latter has kept several important files in her possession even after joining a PS in Balangir district.
The former IIC, identified as Anita Pradhan, was transferred to Balangir nearly four months ago.
In the FIR, Biswal alleged that he is not able to chargesheet the accused persons in a number of criminal cases in the absence of the required files. He also reported the same to Nabarangpur SP Rohit Verma in a recent crime meeting.
Taking the matter seriously, the SP later ordered Biswal to lodge an FIR and register a case in this regard.
