FIR Against Gauhar Khan For Shooting Despite Testing COVID-19 Positive

Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday, filed an FIR against actress Gauahar Khan for flouting COVID-19 rules. The actress stepped out to shoot despite testing positive for COVID-19, Indian Express.com reported.

According to Oshiwara police, the actor had tested positive for coronavirus and was asked to quarantine herself. “When we went to her home in Andheri (W), she did not open the door. We then learnt that she instead went out for film shooting. We then approached the Oshiwara police station,” a BMC official was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, the BMC, in a tweet, said that it has filed an FIR against a popular Bollywood actor for flouting coronavirus guidelines on testing positive.

“No Compromise On City’s Safety! BMC has filed an FIR against a Bollywood actor for non-compliance to COVID19 guidelines on testing positive. The rules apply to all alike and we urge citizens to follow all guidelines and help the city beat the virus.”

Gauahar recently lost her father, Zafar Ahmed Khan, due to age-related illness. In terms of work, Gauahar was last seen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s web series Tandav, also starring Saif Ali Khan, Sunil Grover, Dimple Kapadia, and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub.
