FIR Against Sanjay Leela Bhansali For Fraud, Misbehaviour Over Ranbir & Alia’s ‘Love & War’

Police case against sanjay leela bhansali

Mumbai: An FIR has been lodged against Sanjay Leela Bhansali and two others in Bikaner after a man alleged fraud, misbehaviour and breach of trust during the production of the director’s latest film ‘Love & War’.

Prateek Raj Mathur, the complainant, claimed that he was given a contract as a line producer by Bhansali but it was later cancelled, PTI quoted Circle Officer (Bikaner Sadar) Vishal Jangid as saying.

The FIR was registered under charges of fraud, criminal conspiracy and criminal intimidation against Bhansali, Arvind Gill and Utkarsh Bali at Bichhwal police station on Monday following a court order.

Mathur has accused Bhansali and two of his team members of removing him from the project without payment after assigning him responsibilities.

Mathur said that he had coordinated with government departments and made all necessary arrangements for the film’s shoot. He went on to allege that when he went to meet the makers at a hotel, Bhansali and others misbehaved with him.

The film has been under production for almost a year, mostly in Rajasthan.

Billed as an epic war drama, ‘Love & War’ features Ranbir Kapoor, his wife Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles. Ranbir and Vicky play Indian Air Force pilots in the film, which is scheduled to release on March 20, 2026.
