Mumbai: Mumbai Police on Tuesday registered an FIR against Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh for posting nude pictures on his Instagram account.
The complaint has been registered under Sections 292, 293, and 509 of the Information Technology Act 2022, the ANI reported.
On Monday, two applications were submitted at the Chembur police station by an office-bearer of a non-governmental organisation (NGO), also based in the east Mumbai suburb, and a woman lawyer, seeking the registration of an FIR against the actor for ‘hurting sentiments of women’ and insulting their modesty through his photographs.
Raveen had done the nude photoshoot for a popular magazine.
On the work front, he will next appear on screen with Rohit Shetty’s upcoming ‘Cirkus’.
