Ranchi: A 28-year-old Spanish woman, who was allegedly gang-raped by seven men in Jharkhand’s Dumka district last week during her bike trip across the country, has shared some chilling details about the incident in the FIR report.

The travel vlogger was allegedly threatened with a dagger, kicked, punched, and then raped for almost two and a half hours, The Indian Express reported citing the police FIR.

The woman was allegedly gang-raped at Kurumahat under Hansdiha police limits last Friday when she was spending the night in a makeshift tent along with her husband. The couple had reached Dumka from Bangladesh on two motorcycles and was en route to Bihar and then Nepal. They had already travelled over 1.53 lakh kilometres across the world, covering 63 countries.

She had earlier posted details on how she fell victim to the alleged gang rape through Instagram posts. “We are in the hospital, and something happened to us that we wouldn’t wish on anyone. Seven men raped me, and they have beaten us and robbed us, although not many things (were taken) because what they wanted was to rape me. We are in the hospital with the police, it happened tonight in India,” she said in Spanish.

The accused also assaulted her husband with a helmet and struck him on the head with a stone. “My face looks like this, but it’s not what hurts me the most. I thought we were going to die. Thank God we are alive,” she added.

The duo was found on the side of the road around 11 pm on Friday by Hansdiha police patrolling team. “The patrolling team sensed that something had happened to them. Since they were speaking in Spanish, the police could not understand what they were saying. However, the policemen brought them to a local hospital assuming they needed some treatment,” Dumka SP Pitambar Singh Kherwar was quoted as saying by PTI.

While three of the accused were nabbed immediately, five other were arrested on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the Spanish woman, originally hailing from Brazil, said that she has no complaints against the people of India having safely travelled around 20,000 km across the country. “People of India are nice. I don’t blame the people, but I blame the criminals. People of India have treated me very well, and were very kind to me. We chose the place for the night stay because it was calm and beautiful. We thought it would be okay if we lived there alone,” she said before leaving for Nepal via Bihar along with her husband on their motorcycles.
