Cuttack: The Fire Service personnel doused the flame at the Regional Diagnostic Centre on the SCB Medical College and Hospital premises here on Sunday morning.
According to sources, the staff while opening the CT Scan unit of the Regional Diagnostic Centre noticed the fire and immediately informed the fire brigade that rushed to the spot and doused it within 15 minutes.
While the AC, computers and other important documents were completely gutted, the CT Scan machine remained intact. The fire officials suspect a short-circuit in the power panel could be the cause of the fire.
Following the incident, the diagnostic centre has been temporarily closed.
