Fire Breaks Out At Dhamra Port, Several Vehicles Damaged

Bhadrak: A major fire broke on the premises of Dhamra Port Company Limited (DPCL) at Chandbali in Bhadrak district on Friday.

Several machines meant for coal transportation were damaged in the mishap. However, no injury or casualty was reported.

According to sources, the fire erupted in a conveyor belt when coal was being transported in the port.

Receiving information regarding the mishap from the employees, three fire tenders rushed to the spot and managed to bring the situation under control after an hour.

Investigation to ascertain the cause of the fire is underway, fire officials said.
