Jajpur: A major fire broke out at a godown in Raghunathpur village under Sujanpur panchayat of Jajpur district late on Saturday destroying hundred of tonnes of groundnuts stored there.
According to reports, it took three fire tenders almost two hours to douse the blaze.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. However, an electrical short circuit is being investigated as the probable reason behind the mishap.
The loss due to the fire is estimated to be more than Rs 2 crore.
