Paradip: A massive fire broke out at the refinery plant of the Indian
Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) here on Tuesday.
However, no injury or casualty was reported.
According to sources, the mishap took place after an oil pipe near
Gate No-1 on the plant’s premises caught fire. The fire was first
noticed by a group of employees, who saw thick smoke coming out from
the refinery after which the fire officials were alerted.
Four fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames.
The total damage to property and reason behind the fire is yet to be
known, a fire official said.
