Fire Breaks Out At Balasore District Headquarters Hospital In Odisha, No One Hurt



Balasore: A fire broke out at the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in Odisha’s Balasore on Saturday morning, causing damage to the housekeeping unit.

The fire, suspected to have been caused by an electric short circuit, triggered panic among patients, attendants and hospital staff. However, there was no report o

f injury to anyone.

On being informed, a fire service team rushed to the hospital and quickly brought the fire under control before it could spread to other parts of the medical facility.

Sources said some local residents saw smoke billowing out of a room and immediately alerted hospital authorities. The firefighters launched a swift operation and stopped the fire from spreading to other parts of the hospital.

The housekeeping store room stocked articles like phenyl, clothes, and hospital supplies, which were damaged in the fire. Fortunately, there were no reports of any injuries or loss of life. The hospital administration has launched an investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause of the fire.
