Bhubaneswar: A fire broke out at a ticket counter at Baramunda Bus Stand in Bhubaneswar after a battery exploded on Friday.
No one was reported to have been injured in the incident, while some equipment and computers at the ticket booking counter were damaged in the fire.
As per information, the fire erupted at the counter handling ticket bookings for passenger buses bound for Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, and Vijayawada.
Computers and other equipment at the counter were damaged following explosion of the battery. There was a battery inside the ticket counter and it exploded suddenly triggering the fire. Though the ticket counter staff managed to douse the fire, the blast damaged the computers. member said.
After getting information, Fire Service personnel rushed to the site and ensured the situation was under control.
