Rayagada: A major mishap was averted at a cinema hall in Odisha’s Rayagada after a fire broke out during the screening of Prabhas’ recently released film The Raja Saab.
As per information, the incident took place at Ashok Talkies at a peak moment in the film on Friday, when south Indian superstar Prabhas made his grand entry on screen. While his entry left fans excited, they allegedly burst crackers to celebrate the
same.
A group of fans in the theatre reportedly began performing aarti in front of the screen and attempted to burst crackers inside the movie hall. Following this, a sudden fire broke out near the screen area, triggering panic among the audience. The theatre staff acted promptly and the fire was brought under control immediately.
No one was reported to have been injured the fire incident. There has been no major damage to the cinema hall as well. Even though the screening was halted temporarily to ensure the safety of the audience, it resumed soon, sources said.
Directed and written by Maruthi, The Raja Saab stars Prabhas in the lead, alongside Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, and Boman Irani. The film was released on January 9 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
