Fire Breaks Out At Private College Building In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A major fire broke out at a private college building in Tamando area on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on Thursday. No casualty was reported due to the fire mishap, sources said.

As per preliminary information, the fire erupted at the five-story building of Sri Chaitany Institute of Science . The fire was reported to have erupted on the 4th floor of the building.

On being informed, fire services personnel immediately rushed to the site and launched their operation to extinguish the blaze. The blaze was controlled after around 45 minutes of firefighting. “The fire was completely extinguished without any casualty,” said a fire officer.

The fire services personnel also rescued some students who were trapped inside the building.

While the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, it was suspected to have been triggered by an electric short circuit, sources said.
