Fire Breaks Out At Restaurant Near KIIT Square In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A major fire broke out in a commercial building located near KIIT Square in Odisha capital on Friday.

As per preliminary information, the fire erupted in a restaurant on the fourth floor of the Corporate Habitat building near the busy KIIT Square in the evening.

On being informed, Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot immediately and launched an operation to douse the blaze. The firefighters are trying to bring the blaze under control and prevent it from spreading.

While the exact reason of the fire us yet to be ascertained, it is suspected to have been triggered by an electric short circuit.

Several people, who were trapped in the building, have been rescued safely. No harm to anyone has been reported in the incident.

Apart from the restaurant, the building houses a branch of a bank and a corporate office.
