Cuttack: A fire broke out on the third floor of the Board of Revenue office here around 12.30 pm on Saturday.
On noticing the fire, the staff along with locals rushed to the third floor and tried to control the blaze. Two fire tenders soon reached the spot and doused the flames, sources said.
The extent of damage to office properties was not immediately available.
The fire is suspected to have erupted from a burning cigarette dumped inside a washroom, the sources added.
