Fire Breaks Out In Coal-Laden Train In Odisha, None Hurt



Bhubaneswar: A fire broke out in a coal-loaded goods train while passing throug


h Kesinga under Sambalpur Division in Odishaon Friday evening.

Railway officials immediately initiated emergency response measures and alerted local authorities.

The train was brought to Titlagarh at around 8.15 pm and firefighting operations were promptly undertaken. The Fire Service team reached the site at about 8.25 pm hrs and started efforts to extinguish the fire, East Coast Railway (ECoR) said in a statement.

As per preliminary information, five wagons of the goods train were affected. Senior railway officials and emergency teams are present at the site and closely monitoring the situation.

While no injury to anyone was reported in the incident, passenger train movement remains unaffected on the route.
