Puri: Fire broke out in an electrical switch board near Jagannath temple in Odisha’s Puri on Monday.
According to sources, the switch board adjacent to the wall of the 12th century temple caught fire. The wires and cables connecting the board were damaged in the fire.
The officials of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) informed the Fire Brigade. But the electrical employees of the temple administration rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire before the Fire personnel could reach.
The fire is suspected to have been started by short circuity in electrical connection. Nobody has been injured in the incident.
