Cuttack: A massive fire broke out at a scrap godown located at Mani Sahu in Cuttack city late on Wednesday night.
The incident took place at around 2:30 am.
The locals after noticing the smoke coming out of the godown, informed Fire personnel.
Later, three fire tenders rushed to the spot. It took more than an hour for the Firemen to completely douse the flames.
Though no loss of life was reported in the mishap, as many as 30 unused vehicles including five four wheelers and 25 two wheelers were completely gutted, a Fire official informed.
While the reason behind the mishap was not immediately known, an electric short circuit is suspected to have triggered the fire, sources said.
