Balasore: A plastic factory at Tirukha village in Simulia tehsil of Odisha’s Balasore district was completely gutted in a devastating fire late on Tuesday night.
Reports said residents of the village noticed fire billowing out of the factory late at night and informed the fire brigade, which rushed firemen. Though the fire was controlled, there was nothing left in the factory, owned by Shyam Sundar Das.
Das told mediapersons that property worth over Rs 30 lakh, including the machinery, was destroyed in the fire. According to a fire services officer a short-circuit caused the fire.
