Fire On Puri-Bound Kalinga Utkal Express At Faridabad, No One Hurt



Bhubaneswar: Fire broke out on a train during its journey to Puri in Odisha, causing panic among passengers at Faridabad in Haryana on Sunday.

As per information, the Kalinga Utkal Express, which was travelling from Rishikesh in Uttarakhand to Puri in

Odisha, reported a blaze in one portion.

Passengers onboard the train started panicking as the smoke spread. The train was halted mid-way as soon as the fire was spotted. All passengers were asked to deboard as train staff rushed to inform everyone to evacuate. Travellers helped each other as everyone scrambled to rush outside with their luggage, after the train stopped.

Fire Service teams arrived and contained the blaze before any major damage occurred. No one was injured in the incident.

The fire is suspected to have occurred due to a short circuit, although the exact reason is not known yet. The train resumed its journey after this incident.
