Bhubaneswar: The fire park in OFDRA campus at Baramunda in the city will be open for public from May 21 with an aim to create awareness on fire prevention.
The personnel will educate people on fire safety in households and offices involving low cost.
The decision has been taken in view of the occurrence of major fire accidents in different parts of the country and loss of life as well as property.
DGP, Fire Services, SK Upadhyay reviewed the preparedness for the opening of the fire park. Upadhyay emphasised on public awareness and popularity on use of fire balls and modern firefighting equipments in high-rises.”
Depending on response, we may increase weekly visits to twice or thrice a week, particularly for students and people from busy market areas etc, said Upadhyay.
