Cuttack-based ‘City Style’ shopping mall.

action. At least 100 fire personnel, ODRAF teams and police
accompanied by local people doused the flames after a two-hour-long
effort. The blaze spread rapidly and gutted other goods as the mall
was filled with garments, Sharma added.
A thorough inspection of the mall will be conducted to ascertain the
exact cause of the mishap, he further said.
Eyewitnesses said, a person sustained burn injuries while trying to come
out of the mall. The injured has been hospitalised.
The City Style shopping mall caught fire, which subsequently spread to Geeta
Fashion showroom and four surrounding shops. Properties worth crores of rupees is estimated to have been reduced to ashes.
An electric short circuit is suspected to have triggered the fire.
