Firefighting Team Rescues Septuagenarian Woman From Well In Odisha’s Ganjam

Chhatrapur: A firefighting team rescued a septuagenarian woman and her son from a well at Kumarbegapalli village in Ganjam district on Sunday.

According to sources, 75-year-old Annapurna Gouda fell into the 40 feet deep well at around 8 am. On hearing this, her son Tirupati rushed to the spot and jumped into the well to save his mother but was unable to come out.

While the villagers were trying to help the mother and son get out of the well, a firefighting team came to the village on being informed.

The firemen launched a rescue operation and brought both Annapurna and her son out of the deep well. The condition of both was stated to be safe.
