Jharsuguda: A patient got stuck on a window visor on the fifth floor of the district headquarters hospital (DHH) in Odisha’s Jharsuguda, creating flutter in the area on Tuesday.
The matter came to light when the youth, who had been admitted to the hospital with burn injuries around four days ago, shouted for help from the fifth floor structure of the seven-storey hospital building.
Sources said the hospital authorities immediately informed the fire service as its personnel and those present at the site were not in a position to rescue the youth.
Fire service personnel reached the spot and the youth was rescued safely with the help of equipment and special ladder. He was again taken inside the hospital. He is stated to be in a proper shape and the treatment for his burn will continue, sources said.
However, it was not clear as to how the patient reached the window ceiling. He was also unable explain clearly as to how the situation cropped up.
