Bhubaneswar: The prompt action of Fire personnel saved a minor boy from drowning in Kuakhai river at Bankuala ghat under Balianta police limits on the outskirts of the city on Saturday.
According to reports, four minor boys of Bankuala village had gone to the river for a bath in the morning. While taking bath, one of them slipped into the deep water.
As his friends shouted for help, some locals present on the spot informed the Fire Brigade.
Fortunately, the Fire personnel rushed to the spot in time and rescued the boy. They admitted in the Capital Hospital where his condition is stated to be critical.
