Bhubaneswar: The BJP has decided to stage demonstration in all
district headquarters tomorrow to protest firing at party activist’s
house Bijepur block of Bargarh recently.
Odisha BJP in-charge Arun Singh, who is on a two-day visit to Odisha,
said that the ruling BJD is attempting to create a fear in peoples’
minds in Bijepur constituency by conducting such activities. A
thorough probe should be initiated into the matter and accused be
arrested at the earliest, Singh said.
Three unidentified miscreants opened fire at the house of Mandal
president of BJP Yuva Morcha Manoranjan Meher at Pada village in the
district on Sunday evening. The firing is the first case of violence
in poll-bound Bijepur.
