Bhubaneswar: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Youth Congress are among the political parties and organisations against whom FIRs have been lodged at different police stations in the city for violating COVID-19 guidelines since June 12.
In a release, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) said an FIR was filed at Nayapalli police station against national convener, state convenor and members of Naba Nirman Krushak Sangathan for staging a demonstration and raising slogans against the government in front of CBI office on June 12.
An FIR was filed at Capital police station against state Youth Congress president and others for holding a demonstration against hike in diesel price near Congress Bhavan on June 26.
Another FIR was filed at Badagada police station against the workers of BJP for staging a protest against a mall at Kalpana Square on July 2.
On July 3, two FIRS were filed at different police stations. One was filed at Kharvel Nagar police station against the leaders and activists of CITU, INTUC, AITUC and AICCTU for staging an agitation to press their various demands at Master Canteen square.
The second FIR was filed at Capital police station against some social activists for staging an agitation in support of their demands at Master Canteen square.
