Bhubaneswar: A constable with the Armed Police Reserve (APR) tested positive for coronavirus here on Tuesday.
This is the first case of a policeman getting infected with the virus in Odisha.
Confirming the news, Commisionerate Police tweeted: “One of our police personnel on return from leave was subjected to precautionary testing and has been found to be COVID-19 positive. He is asymptomatic, 36 years and is being moved to our COVID care facility. It is learnt that he had come in contact with outside state labour.”
