First T20I: India Beat England By 8 Wickets

Manchester: India beat England by eight wickets in the first T20 International at Old Trafford, Manchester, on Tuesday.

India, led by Virat Kohli, won the toss and elected to bowl.

England finished off with 158 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. England had a great start but Kuldeep Yadav picked up three wickets in a single over derailing the innings.

He further took two more wickets.

India played extremely well scoring 10 runs an over when the run rate needed was less than six. KL Rahul became the second Indian cricketer to hit two T20I centuries. He scored 101.

India took the lead with 1-0 in the series, while hitting the target in this match in 17.3 overs. Kohli finished off the game with a splendid six!

The teams will play two more T20Is, three One-Day Internationals and five Test matches.
