Bhubaneswar: Taking note of massive rush at Regional Transport Offices in Bhubaneswar for driving licence, the Odisha government has decided to open five additional centres in the capital city and Khurda town.
Informing this to the media here on Friday, Principal Secretary, Commerce and Transport, G Srinivas said four additional centres will be opened in the city and another at Khurda town. These will be in addition to the RTO-I and RTO-II in Bhubaneswar.
“These five additional centres will be set up to provide learner’s licence only as there is a long queue for it,” he said.
A decision to set up additional centres in other cities of the state will be taken after gauging the rush, he added.
