Bargarh: Police on Sunday arrested five persons in connection with a Rs 18 lakh loot at a private finance company in Bargarh town.
Among those arrested, two are employees of the finance company, Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited.
Cash to the tune of Rs 17.44 lakh has been recovered from them.
Town police station officers are interrogating the accused persons to ascertain whether more people are involved in the crime.
According to police sources, a group of unidentified miscreants with their faces covered entered the firm officeon Friday night. They threatened three security guards at knife point and broke open the locker.
The criminals also took away mobile phones and tablets and fled the spot after locking the office door from outside, sources added.
