Baripada: At least five members of a family including three minors were seriously injured when the car in which they were travelling, overturned on National Highway-200 at Bauna Sala under Karanjia police station limits in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Sunday.
The injured identified as Shyam Charan Murmu, his wife Sukhi Murmu, their two sons Sambit and Sujit and nephew Balaram Murmu, were admitted to Karanjia Sub Divisional Hospital and later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
The incident took place when Shyam, who was driving the vehicle, lost control over the wheels while negotiating a sharp turn, an eyewitness said.
The family was on the way to Bhubaneswar when the mishap took place.
