Puri: Three days after elections results were declared, violence erupted in a village under Brahmagiri block in Puri district on Sunday.
Five persons were injured after bombs were hurled following a clash between two groups at Bhatapada village.
According to sources, two groups of the village had a fight over some issues, following which bombs were hurled in the village. Five persons from both the groups sustained injuries. They have been admitted to a nearby hospital.
On being informed, police reached the spot. Efforts are on to pacify the situation.
The exact cause behind the violent clash is yet to be ascertained, the sources added.
