Cuttack: Five members of a family, including a woman, were injured, and three of them seriously, after they were attacked by a group of people at Pokhari village under Niali block in Odisha’s Cuttack district on Monday.
Reports said the attackers barged into the house and hit the family members with sticks.
On being informed, a team of Niali police rushed to the village and admitted the three seriously injured to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
Sources said that the family members were attacked as they had not cast their vote to a particular party in the Assembly elections.
Additional police force has been deployed in the village to prevent any untoward incident.
