Five Killed In Separate Road Accidents

Angul/Nayagarh: At least five people were killed in two separate road accidents in Angul and Nayagarh districts late on Sunday.

Three persons died after a motorcycle on which they were travelling was hit by an unidentified vehicle near Pattapathar village under Thakurgarh police station limits in Angul district.

The deceased have been identified as Kathi Dalei (24), Paramananda Dalei (25) and Ranjit Rout (24). They were returning from Boudh to their village at Kelipathar village in the district on Athmallick-Bainda road when the mishap took place.

Following the accident, a group of irate locals gathered near the accident spot and staged a road blockade demanding compensation for the family of the deceased.

In another incident, two persons were killed after a potato-laden mini truck collided with a tree at Kachera Sahi under Fatehgarh police limits in Nayagarh district.
