New Delhi: BJP MP from Odisha Sangeeta Singh Deo has been conferred with the Best Woman Parliamentarian of the Year Award (Lok Sabha).
She received the award from former Chief Justice of India B R Gavai, during a ceremony attended by Union ministers, ex-judges, prominent parliamentarians, and media personalities.
The sixth annual Lokmat Parliamentary Awards 2025 were held on Wednesday in New Delhi, honouring MPs for their outstanding performance in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

ed Parliament for the first time during the 12th Lok Sabha elections. The seasoned BJP politician is acknowledged for her dedicated efforts in promoting women’s empowerment, child rights, rural development, and social welfare initiatives. She has been particularly vocal about constituency-specific issues in Balangir, including upgrades to rural school infrastructure and timely wage disbursements under the MGNREGA program.
She is married to K V Singh Deo, the current Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha.
