Bhubaneswar: The Government Railway Police (GRP) on Saturday arrested five persons, including two minors, and recovered 12 motorcycles and a car from their possession.
The stolen motorcycles were recovered from Jankia, Jatni and Khurda. The gang was involved in dozens of vehicle-lifting cases.
According to GRP sources,the accused used to steal motorcycles, targeting abandoned parking lots, from various places of the state including Rayagada, Koraput and Khurda railway stations. They used to sell the stolen bikes at a price ranging between Rs 5,000 and Rs 15,000.
