Bhubaneswar: A flight reportedly returned to Bhubaneswar as it was unable to land at Jeypore Airport in Odisha’s Koraput district because of rough weather on Sunday.
According to sources, the nine-seater aircraft which had taken off from Bhubaneswar reportedly did not get the required permission from the Air Traffic Control (ATC) to land at Jeypore Airport.
As a result, the IndiaOne Air flight returned to Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar after hovering over Jeypore Airport for quite some time, they said.
It was raining in Jeypore and the flight did not get the permission to land at the airport there following which it returned to Bhubaneswar due to limited fuel stock.
Passengers claimed that flight service between Bhubaneswar-Jeypore had been cancelled a couple of times in the recent past.
