Washington: International travellers arriving at US airports won’t be asked to carry COVID-19 negative test reports any longer, the US announced on Friday, a key step as the country gradually lifts restrictions, AFP reported.
White House Assistant Press Secretary Kevin Munoz confirmed the news on Twitter. US media reports said the COVID testing requirement would end this weekend.
All passengers were so far required to show a COVID negative test report or proof of having recovered from the virus in the past 90 days before boarding their flight.
Last month, the US crossed one million COVID deaths.
